Our team, formerly part of Baily Garner (Health & Safety), provided Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services on the delivery of RD Studios, a state-of-the-art production facility in Park Royal, West London. The project involved the full refurbishment of a warehouse to create five large sound studios with mezzanines, flexible-use production offices, kitchens, and dedicated hair and makeup rooms.
We supported RD Content in managing CDM compliance on this £1.4 million fit-out, which included structural flooring upgrades, the installation of an on-site electrical substation, and the integration of two-storey internal builds. The studios form part of a wider £20 million, 45,000ft² development by RD Content, with ambitions to expand to 250,000ft² of studio space globally.
Sustainability was a key driver throughout the scheme. The goal was a net-zero carbon refurbishment, achieved through sustainable material choices, solar power, rainwater harvesting, and electric vehicle infrastructure. The project earned an A+ EPC rating and 5-star ‘Excellent’ BREEAM certification.
