Project Summary

Overview

Our team, formerly part of Baily Garner (Health & Safety), was appointed by the City of London to support a sensitive project at the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales, known more widely as the Old Bailey.

Located on a historic route that once formed part of the ancient London Wall, the Grade II* listed court building has stood as a symbol of justice for over a century. The site’s architectural heritage and operational role in the UK’s Crown Court system made this a particularly delicate and high-profile commission.

We acted as Principal Designer and CDM Advisor to support the City Surveyors team during essential electrical upgrade works. Our role involved ensuring full compliance with the CDM Regulations 2015, while helping to protect the structure’s historic fabric and maintain safe conditions for all those working in or visiting the site.

This appointment formed part of our wider portfolio of work with the City of London, contributing to the preservation and modernisation of landmark buildings across the capital’s civic estate.
