Some of adventurous staff from PIB Risk Management rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in at this year’s Tough Mudder at Belvoir Castle in Grantham on July 5th, all to raise money for Weston Park Cancer Charity in Sheffield.
Braving the muddy 5k course, the team tackled a series of physically demanding and mentally challenging obstacles, including fan favourites like Pyramid Scheme, Block Ness Monster, and Funky Monkey, among many others, all while raising an incredible £3,380 (and counting!) for a cause close to their hearts.
Taking part in the event were, Adrian and Helen Robinson, Amelia Garnett, Molly Andrews, Mel Smith, Carta Basford, Sarah Browne, Mecia Brockhouse, Rachel McKean, Laura Greasby, Tyla Sagar, and Rhiannon Hammond-Jones, each bringing energy, determination and a lot of laughter to the day.
Reflecting on the experience, team member Sarah Browne said:
“I was most looking forward to the finish line, but when I got there, I wanted to do it all again!! Each one of us pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones (thanks to adrenaline and endless support from our teammates!) but knowing it was all for such an important cause incredibly close to my heart made every ache and smelly puddle worth it!”
The team’s fundraising will go directly towards supporting people living with cancer and their families, as well as helping to fund vital research at Weston Park Cancer Charity.
Well done to the entire team for going the extra mile, and then some!
