IOSH the (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) has launched a new online safety guide aimed at those involved in designing, manufacturing and using machinery on theatrical sets.

The guide takes a checklist type approach and breaks the process down into seven stages, with links to template documents at each stage:

·         Concept,

·         Design,

·         Manufacturing,

·         Commissioning, inspection and safety sign off,

·         Testing,

·         Final sign off and handover

·         Use

The guidance can be found on IOSH’s website at: https://exclusive.iosh.com/safeprinciplesguide

Please speak to your normal PIB Risk management contact or get in touch using [email protected]  if you have any questions about machinery safety.
