The Asbestos Network Technical Working Group (previously known as the Asbestos Leadership Council ALC), have released two new documents.
While these are aimed at licensed asbestos removal contractors, they may also be of interest if you are having asbestos removal work carried out. The new documents are:
- Appendix 01/24 Handover of Enclosures to Analysts for 4SC (Site Supervisor Visual Inspection and Handover Form) – this document establishes a standard operating procedure for this part of the work
- Appendix 02/24 Asbestos Skips, Van Waste Compartments, Waste Storage and Movement on Site – this document covers the issues and minimum design requirements for asbestos skips and requirements for suitable waste compartments in vans.
The second of these documents may also be of use if you are involved in providing skips for asbestos waste removal or creating storage compartments in vans.
