The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has recently made a number of revisions to published documents on their website. The documents in question include:
- Code of Practice 31 (The safe use of cylinders on mobile workshops and service vehicles. (Revision 6:2025)
- Technical Information 29 (Oxy-fuel equipment. Selection and assembly. (Revision 2:2025)
- Safety Alert 2 (Hydrogen and oxygen flames generated from electrolysis of water – Safety devices). (Revision 1: 2025)
Code of Practice 31 covers the design, construction and operation of mobile workshops and the safe use and installation of gas equipment on such vehicles.
Technical Information Sheet 29 provides information on requirements for selecting and assembling oxy-fuel gas equipment in line with BCGA Code of Practice 7.
Safety Alert 2 highlights the requirements for fitting a suitable flame arrestor on equipment designed to generate flammable gases.
